RadioTelevizija
Slovenija, RTV Slovenia, is Slovenia's public broadcasting
corporation. Radio Ljubljana, the forerunner of Radio Slovenia,
began broadcasting the 28th of October, 1928. And in 1957,
it began broadcasting television as part of the Yugoslavian
Radio and Television Network (JRT). Since 1991, RTV Slovenia
has been Slovenia's independent public broadcasting corporation
and it is a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
RTV
Slovenia broadcasts two national television channels, three
national radio channels, and airs a radio and a television
channel for the Italian and Hungarian national communities
respectively. It also produces radio and television programmes
for Slovene national minorities in the neighbouring countries,
radio and television programmes for foreign audiences and
radio and television programmes in the regional centres in
Maribor and Koper/Capodistria. |
